McWhirther 50th Anniversary

McWhirter Pottery “TURNING” 50: Second generation potters Pete & Kim McWhirter invite you to join them at McWhirter Pottery for their 50th Anniversary Celebration Fri.,Sat,Sun, September 6th, 7th, & 8th from 10 am to 5 pm each day. McWhirter Pottery was established in 1963 by Kore and Jim McWhirter. The original shop was located in a milking parlor on White Oak Creek Rd. In 1970 they built the studio on Hwy 80 South where Pete and Kim began working 1989. Activities for Saturday include: A kiln opening featuring special Anniversary work and pottery demonstrations. Live music will be provided by Jerry Trapp and Suzanne Schmitt. Food Vending will be provided by Little Switzerland Cafe. Overflow parking will be at the South Toe Elementary School. Bring a chair, and join us for a relaxing afternoon of Food, Music, and Pottery as we celebrate.
